Seasonal Affective Disorder – feeling happier….

Do you feel happier in the Summer rather than the Winter? Do you notice a change in how you are feeling, when the clocks change and the days get shorter? Have you ever wondered if you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)?

Having worked with many clients who are suffering from depression and who say ‘yes’ to the above, I have noticed that there appears to be a common issue for all of them. At some point, they have decided that the Winter is not a good season and that they are not going to be happy during it.  They have ‘programmed’ their minds to think as soon as it is Winter, it is time to hibernate and to do less things in the evenings.  Often what has caused this is that something negative has happened in past during the Autumn/Winter e.g. a parent died.  In one case, my client was home sick for the weather of her homeland – The Phillipines and her mind was constantly being reminded of home and the sun beating down!!

The good news is that you can change this by having some therapy such as Emotional Freedom Technique or Time Line Therapy TM and this will change how you think in the future.  If you suffer from SAD, don’t just suffer in silence, come and work with me and let’s change the future for you.
