Having worked with many clients who are suffering from depression and who say ‘yes’ to the above, I have noticed that there appears to be a common issue for all of them. At some point, they have decided that the Winter is not a good season and that they are not going to be happy during it. They have ‘programmed’ their minds to think as soon as it is Winter, it is time to hibernate and to do less things in the evenings. Often what has caused this is that something negative has happened in past during the Autumn/Winter e.g. a parent died. In one case, my client was home sick for the weather of her homeland – The Phillipines and her mind was constantly being reminded of home and the sun beating down!!
